Minneapolis, USA - Annual Meeting and Expo
The American Public Health Association emphasizes that public health is fundamentally focused on the future, aiming for prevention and promotion to help populations live longer and healthier lives. However, recent political polarization, underfunding, and distrust in scientific research pose significant challenges to our ability to achieve optimal and equitable health and well-being for everyone. The effectiveness of public health is further undermined by the spread of pseudoscience. In light of these issues, it is crucial that we work to rebuild trust in public health and science.
